A total of 10 informants who have experience in the land dispute of inheritance were involved to get a deep insight into this issue. The results showed that the inheritance conflict in the Toba Batak community was caused by injustice in the distribution of inheritance in the family. This condition is exacerbated when there are no male offspring, which caused the inheritance that had been distributed to be asked to return by relatives who still had blood relations. In addition, differences in views on the boundaries of inheritance also add to the complexity of the conflict that occur.
