Introduction

In today's competitive business landscape, increasing employee productivity is crucial for the success of any organization. PT Indosat Tbk Medan, a leading telecommunications company, is no exception. The call center division plays a vital role in providing excellent customer service and driving business growth. However, maintaining high productivity levels among call center employees can be a significant challenge. This study aims to investigate the impact of reward and work culture on employee productivity in the call center division of PT Indosat Tbk Medan.

Methodology

This study involved all employees of the Call Center division section outbound PT Indosat Tbk Medan, totaling 60 people, who were active in the January-December 2009 period. The data used was primary data, and analyzed using SPSS version 16.00 for Windows. The analysis techniques used include descriptive analysis, simple tabulation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and determinant coefficient.

Results

The results of the F ** test show that reward and work culture simultaneously have a significant impact on the productivity of employees of the call center division. ** Test results T ** (individually) confirm that the variable reward and work culture variables have a positive and significant effect on employee productivity.

The coefficient of determination of 73.2% shows that 73.2% variations of employee productivity in the call center division can be explained by the variable reward and work culture. The remaining (26.8%) is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Regression Equation

The regression equation is as follows:

y = -6,245 + 0, 314x1 + 1,140x2 + e

X2 = work culture
E = error

This regression equation shows that reward and work culture have a positive impact on productivity. Every increase in the value of reward will increase productivity by 0.314 units, while an increase in work culture will increase productivity by 1,140 units.
