This study aims to analyze the significant influence between competency and work discipline on the performance of Civil Servants (PNS) in the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries of South Labuhanbatu Regency.

The Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries of South Labuhanbatu Regency plays a crucial role in promoting the development of agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries in the region. The performance of the department's employees is essential in achieving the set goals and objectives. A total of 36 employees were used as samples through census techniques, and data collection was carried out through interviews, questionnaire distribution, and documentation studies.

Results

The results showed that both competency and work discipline had a positive and significant influence on the performance of the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries of Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency. This confirms that the better the competence and discipline of employee work, the higher their performance. From the results of the analysis, it appears that employee competence has a more dominant influence than work discipline in influencing employee performance.
