Introduction

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a crucial aspect of business operations, particularly in industries that have significant environmental and social impacts, such as mining companies. In this article, we will discuss the factors that influence CSR disclosure in the annual mining company report listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), with a focus on company growth, profitability, leverage, board of commissioners, public share ownership, and company size.

Research and Methodology

This study aimed to investigate the factors that influence CSR disclosure in mining companies listed on the IDX. The population studied consisted of mining companies listed on the IDX in the 2016 to 2018 period. Using the Purposive Sampling Method, researchers managed to collect samples from 30 mining companies from a total of 40 existing companies. The data used is secondary data taken from the official IDX website, namely www.idx.co.id. Data analysis is carried out by multiple linear regression methods that meet the classic assumption test requirements.

Research Findings

The results showed that partially, two factors - Leverage and company size - had a significant effect on CSR disclosure. Meanwhile, other factors such as company growth, profitability, board of commissioners, and public share ownership do not show a significant effect on CSR disclosure. Interestingly, in simultaneous analysis, all these factors, including company growth and profitability, have proven to have a significant effect on CSR disclosure.

However, in this study, no significant influence was found. Corporate social responsibility disclosure is an important part of the company's annual reporting, especially in the mining sector. The findings of this study provide insight into the factors that influence CSR disclosure in Indonesia.
