Introduction

Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) is a crucial aspect of improving the quality of individual health, family, and community as a whole. In the Alue Ie Mirah Village, Indra Makmur District, East Aceh Regency, PHBS is essential to enhance the health and well-being of the community. This effort involves increasing knowledge, awareness, ability, and willingness to apply clean and healthy life behavior. Therefore, PHBS not only has a positive impact on health but also improves the quality of human resources, particularly in the aspects of health, nutritional status, and the use of existing health facilities.

Background

Research conducted from September 2016 to July 2017 aimed to identify the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of the community related to PHBS in the household order. The research method used was descriptive with non-probability sampling techniques through purposive sampling, involving 85 respondents. Data was collected using a questionnaire that included demographic information, knowledge, attitudes, and actions of respondents.

This finding indicates that the Gampong Alue Ie Mirah community already has a strong foundation in PHBS, although there is still room for improvement, especially in more consistent actions.

Discussion

It is essential to realize that good knowledge and attitudes must be accompanied by concrete actions in everyday life. Therefore, it is hoped that people can maintain their positive knowledge and attitudes and try to increase actions in PHBS. Through the application of clean and healthy living behavior in a sustainable manner, it is expected that the degree of family health can be improved, so that the quality of life of the people in the Alue Ie Mirah village can be maintained and developed properly.

Conclusion

The application of PHBS is also closely related to the use of health facilities in the surrounding environment. The community needs to be encouraged to be more active in utilizing health facilities and participating in health programs provided by the government or other health institutions. Education and counseling about the importance of PHBS also need to be done so that public awareness of the importance of maintaining health is increasing.
