This indicates that an increase in liabilities, may be caused by debt taking for operations, can reduce the net profit of the bank. This is an important consideration for BPD management, as excessive dependence on debt can reduce financial efficiency.

The capital adequacy ratio, although important for maintaining the financial health of the bank, does not show a significant effect on profitability in the context of BPD. Other factors seem more dominant in influencing earnings performance. Conversely, problem loans have a significant negative influence on profitability.
